I was born in 1993 in Bielsko-Biała, Poland, and still work from here. I make narrative films, documentaries and other personal projects.
Directing was first suggested to me by a careers counsellor when I was sixteen. I laughed it off and decided I would become a lawyer. Fate had other plans - a year later my form teacher gave me an ultimatum: enter the school film competition or take a lower conduct grade. I shot that film on a phone, won, and only then understood what I wanted to do.
My first narrative feature, the 45-minute „The War is not Lost”, came in 2014 - written, directed, shot and edited alone. Two years later „Oblitus: Rise of the Forgotten” was made with a real crew, pyrotechnics and period vehicles, funded by a crowdfunding campaign; it travelled to Polish and international festivals and picked up several awards.
Since then: a music video for the Institute of National Remembrance about the Augustów Roundup, „Wish” on the festival circuit, and in 2023 my first documentary - „Mery”, a full season spent with the Polish national racing champion.
Alongside film I photograph - in the same language: light, frame, story.
I am drawn to sport and history, motorsport in particular - and it keeps coming back in the work.
Commercials, campaigns, music videos.
